Kareena Kapoor is upset with the alleged news that she opposed the inclusion of Deepika Padukone to perform an item number in the upcoming movie Ra.One. Kareena is upset because she believes that the false rumours of Deepika’s ouster from the item number is being spread by Deepika herself, just to gain some mileage from being associated with a Shahrukh Khan movie.
Reports indicate that Deepika has gone round the city telling people that she was the first choice of the producer and director for the much talked about item number in Shahrukh’s film Ra.One. But despite being the first choice, she was not called for the song because the lead lady of the film Kareena was not happy with the idea of Deepika getting associated with the number. Those close to Deepika say that Kareena was afraid that if Deepika gets associated with this number it will go the way of the title track of Dum Maro Dum where despite Bipasha Basu being the actual lead lady of the film, everyone is just talking about Deepika and her item number.
On the other hand, the story of the Kareena’s supporters is slightly different. They say that this song is an integral part of the story, which was always to be filmed on lead lady of the film Kareena. Deepika on the other hand is cooking up the entire story, just to distract the attention of the people from the miserable performance she has given in the item number of Dum Maro Dum.
But this round of the fight regarding the item number of Ra.One goes to Kareena because director of the film Anubhav Sinha has come out in her support. He also says that the song being discussed here is not an item number but a part of the story and Deepika was neither considered nor contacted for it.
